We cannot stress enough the importance of training and recovery, before and after an intense athletic event. Balancing exertion with rest and rehabilitation not only prepares you for a race day but also ensures that you can enjoy these challenging activities for years to come. Ensure that your training is safe and effective using these tips:  
  • Focus on your mental game - The ability to believe in oneself and focus on the task at hand can greatly impact performance.
  • Rest days are important - Training may place stress on your body that can wear it down. Incorporate rest into your training regimen and allow your body to recoup so you can guarantee successful results.
  • Listen to your body - Our bodies are really good at telling us what we need. If we listen to it, that is. 

It is vital for athletes to remember that recovery is as important as training. Your recovery process can include a combination of treatments: 
  • Cryotherapy - Increases blood flow and mobility by using cooling agents to chill the air around you. It can reduce joint muscle pain, soreness, and swelling.
  • Compression Therapy -  Strengthens your lungs in the colder weather and promotes better health and wellness.
  • Staying Hydrated - Prevents injuries and enhances performance. Water flushes toxins out of the body, transports nutrients and helps with muscle soreness and tension.
